I mean, girls profess to want a nice guy, but it seems that they actually date the opposite. Can any girls help me with this?

I used to be that way, so I know what you speak.
Nice guys tend to be more tolerant and forgiving a lot more than the other types, which makes them a push over or "soft" in women's eyes. They are not a challenge, so to speak.

i have no idea i wouldn't date a jerk not for one minute. Right know i have a nice and kind boyfriend who opens doors and is cool with every one in my life. He lets me hang out and stuff with all my friends boy or girl.
But just keep looking someone soon enough will appreciate you. Or will wan to go back out with her so keep being a nice guy and you'll get into a nice relationship that both of you are happy in. And Nice guys finish last. But they always get the right girl . The jerks they get a girl then they have a bad break up and then they get back together and then they break up...... and well you get the point and both of them are never happy.

The question is complex but the best answer i can give is that when you are a nice guy and everything is alwasy well nice sometimes you want greatness sometimes you to fight and have make up sex that rocks your world =o and sometimes you want the guy to run the red light speed on the highway and sometimes you want to play the good girl and he be the even worse professor women sometimes you just want to be romanced or talked to dirty lol but lastly woman want a 3 diminsional man who will love them fight for them and take them on an adventure. And when you too nice it just a let down - when you crave excitement
p.s. i have a nice guy - we have been together for 3 years and some months and he has found his adventureous side

every girl wants a nice guy...but in the long run no matter what we will always pick a bad guy over the nice guy. this is because of the way the "bad guy" treats us. they can be total assholes in public, but when alone they r the most loveable ever. sometimes nice guys have a problem with fighting. a lot of girls love to sometimes fight just to get the blood boiling, and then theres make-up sex. its hard to explain but its just something about the thrill of being with a bad boy that gets girls more excited than a good guy does.

Women say they want a 'nice guy' but the reality is that women are attracted to real men. They find some of the more aggressive traits to be sexy. Think about the movies: does the manly hero get the girls or the wimpy nice guy?

We might date the bad boys but most girls do grow up eventually to marry the nice guy.

Sorry to say this, but guys are viewed as gross and insensitive to our feelings and it surprises us when a nice guy comes along. And most girls like me would like a nice guy, but we don't want you to be up on your toes for us every minute, or this could just be me. Mix it up a little, be a little mischievous in public, but treat her like a queen when you two are alone. Just face it, would want a girl who caters to your every need and always with you in case you need something. I not saying this is you, but just be more than normal man, you seem like the Mr. Right every girl is looking for. Hope this works out for you.

Some girls LOVE bad guys - others can't stand them.
I'd go for the nice guy everytime. And I don't think it's really about age and immaturity as I'm only 15, but other people might have different experiences

Because women are picky. Instead of really looking for a nice "Mr Right", instead they look to "Mr Right Now", likely a bad-boy, obnoxious jerk, or a combination of the two and think they can change him, simply because of the bad-boy image being taboo and alluring to women. Girls are indecisive, bad-boys play with their feelings and girls swear he's got "another side" to him and nice guys are, well, "too nice" for them so to say. That's just life.

it is because nice guys are usually boring and those girls dont like that. they want someone they love to hang out and kick it with. i mean some girls are a little more mature though =)
