Absolutly, i havent been on too much airplanes but the last time i went there was a arab/muslim looking guy and when he got up to use the restroom i swear at least 5 heads turned to see what he was doing, i was extremly glad to see that even though he was no threat to anyone it just shows how more aware people are after 9/11.Good Question

Nope. If I go - you go. Airplanes are nifty forms of travel. Better than buses because buses are usually filled with every conceiveable lowlife. Possibly ( very ) government affiliated. That other form of government. The authorities apparently blithely unaware of. Yeah. Them. When I see a Muslim on an airplane, I must confess, like when I see a standard Baptist, or Catholic in full uniform sending out advertising vibes ... this is the closest any of you guys are ever gonna get to heaven.

I once sat next to an elderly Egyptian Muslim Lady on a flight from Rome to Paris. I said 'hi' then she asked me if I was Muslim; I said "no ma'am"..then the trouble started,,,This woman spoke all the way without a break telling me all about the Muslim Faith.
I was very relived when the plane landed and said..'bye ma'am.' She grabbed my hand in a firm hand shake looked me in the eye like a kid and said, "When will we meet again son?"
Was I nervous? I will be next time.

The first few months after 9/11 I was a bit uneasy when I would see someone I assumed was Muslim on a plane with me. Especially on trans-Atlantic flights. I forced myself to get over it. The last few years I've barely noticed.

Not exceptionally.
The Muslim world is similar to ours, in that most are simple, honest-hearted people, with a radical few.
It wasn't Muslims that shot Kennedy, or Reagan.
David Koresh was not Muslim.
Timothy McVeigh was not a Muslim.
We also have a radical few among us.
Be equally nervous about them!
The only reason you are more nervous about Muslims is they get more press.

I'm sorry .............but f**k Yeah!!!!! I'm off that plane!!!! I've got muslim friends, they tell me that these suicide people obviously don't follow their religion very carefully, as one of the main rules of muslims is not to hurt yourself or others/..... but sorry, It's russian roulette, if they look eastern, or anything slightly muslimish...i'd be gone, and that doesn't make me a rasist, after all if they were friends, it wouldn't bother me.... The point is that you just never know, and i'm not ready to die, especially not on a plane, put them on flights together...sorry...but why should i feel nervous about flying??? because of what they have done??????

I'm nervous when I see them on the underground. I live in the UK and after the events of 7/7 I think it's only natural that you'd be a bit nervous.

You mean some who looks Middle Eastern or Arabic, right.
It's very difficult to tell anyone's religion by sight, except maybe a nun in an old-style habit.
But no, it would not make me nervous.

no not at all. I try not to sterotype people. Besides, the events of 9-11 were an isolated event, and it would be a disgrace if I was suspicious of every Middle-Easterner I saw.
