Well, there have always been atheists with different philosophies. Some atheists are Buddhist, some are Hindu, some are Taoist, or Nihilist, others have no afilliation. As many philosphies as there are is the number of atheist "denominations"

There might be a schism- I'm developing a distaste for atheists who preach tolerance for religious beliefs. If we don't challenge religion aggressively we'll never get rid of it.

All religions are in a sense atheism. They all dont believe in all the God(s) of the world so they may in a sense be considered an atheist to the religions denied.

There are Three:
A. Atheists who don't believe in any gods.
B. Atheists who don't believe in the god of Abraham.
C. Atheists who don't believe in the god of Abraham and claim to be A, but their arguments about god are 100% based on gods having the characteristics of the god of Abraham and when you point this out to them they get mad.

There are plenty of varieties. There are the "Anti-Religion" atheists. There are the "Anti-God" athiests. sociopolitically, you might have humanists, science worshippers and communists. Then there are borderline agnostics.

There are no donominations. If you do not believe, you do not beleive. There aren't really different ways to "practice" that. It is funny when people of religion use jargon that is common concerning their beliefs, but doesn't fit with other people's beliefs(or lack of).

This is ridiculous. Atheism is the absence of religious belief. This is not a funny mess with question. Stop insulting people who don't want to be like you.

You are talking about religion. Atheism is NOT a religion and I wish people would quite saying it is because its an obvious effort to annoy and aggravate. Knock it off.
