I guess this is what the scripture "....uneducated and foolish questions avoid...." (2nd Timothy 2:23) was talking about.

Ok, it seems pretty much to be like that even with God.
One of the counties with a very high crime rate is USA. It is also the most heavily populated with Christians.
When the police fail, riots and looting breaks out.
I am not trying to slam USA, or the Christians.
I am just pointing out that God seems to have less to do with it than the presence of cops does.
The Islamic extremists did 9-11, fundamentalist Christians killed doctors who did medical abortions, as well as blew up the federal government building in Oklahoma.
Jim Jones and David Koresh were leaders of Christian Doomsday cults (both armed and both suicidal)
It seems that the most dramatically violent acts are committed by those who believe the most in God.
If you look through history you find this repeated many times.
Russia and China are given quite often as examples of atheism doing evil but those countries really only substituted Communism for religion. Hitler and the Nazis were not atheists either. National Socialism was a Christian Fascist movement.
So , IF God(s) don't exist, what difference does it make
(besides upsetting your personal belief system)
about the evolutionary aspects of empathy, altruism and survival in modern societies, that could fill several books, and this answer is long enough already.
Choose Reality.

There was a time period in which most people did not believe in God. In recorded history from say 3500 BC until about 1000 AD. And what happened during that time period.
People fought constantly, they lived in fear of other peoples and empires. It was not a question of if but when they would be attacked. The Huns, Mongols, Celts, Franks, and other groups invaded and killed any one and everyone. The Romans, the Greeks, and others were continually at war. People were enslaved. Blacks, Christians, Arabs, etc. People were killed for fun, spectacle by the Romans and others.
One can say that there were many wars from 1000 AD to the present but not nearly as many overall. And we do not sit in fear because we know we are going to be invaded. And the majority of the world believes in God today.

If God didn't exist, and we never truly know until we die. Then I believe I'd be kind to others anyway. There is this thing called empathy. We are all here on this planet at the same time. Now, when you think about that, that's pretty amazing and it is equally amazing to ponder how we got here in the first place. if you let go of the creation myths of the Bible then one has to be in awe of the entire ponderance of such infinity. That said, since we are all here at once, we have to look to eachother in awe, the same awe we ponder the entire creation and universe. But when we do that, we realize we all struggle, we all suffer, and we all have very similar needs, desires and feelings that are all so human. I treat people with respect and to do so means I let go of my ego and realize that these people are fellow travelers in time, this time that we live in NOW. It's not even a matter of survival. It's a matter of putting yourself in their shoes. It's more of a matter of comraderie and empathy. It goes back to the saying, "Do unto others, as you would want them to do unto you". It's a wise phrase and one that we all need reminding of time to time.

This question is hard to tackle because God does exist. Most people do live as if this is survival of the fittest. They are not kind because they owe something, it's often because they want something and if they want it really bad then they are not kind at all.

Well, if God didn't exist, then you would not, sooooo !But ! If there were no evil, all would be BLISS now wouldn't it !? You will need survival knowledge shortly. Get prepared cause you will "obey" and run to the mountains very shortly when the " abomination which maketh desolate " is seated in the high seat ( America) .

If God does not exist then their is a reason to why we precieve that he does. We believe in him simply b/c it gives some people a higher power to look up to for hope. Whether or not miracles happen isn't b/c of God but b/c of the will power of a person. If God does not exist then there is something that we hold on to whether that be the imagine of a God or ourselves. So whether or not God exists truely depends on whether or not you want to believe.

Have you ever researched the reason most societies develop religion? It is an answer to our own mortality. We as a race have always been concerned with "is this it?". So what if it is. As a being we are brief flash in the pan, so make your decision, have fun and enjoy or work for an afterlife that may not exist.....but if it does.......

Yes, the person who kisses the most bottom, gets the furthest...because everyone loves to be complimented, and it is all about self survival, doing with your life, whatever you want, living everyday like it's your last and fighting to get to where you wanna be. when we're gone, much as i'd love to believe we're going somewhere, i doubt we are, so don't waste time with your head in a book, get out there and enjoy it while it lasts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If God does not exist, then believing in God still gives me the best in this life because it motivates me to be the best I can be....responsibility, accountability, and love --- the three cornerstones of believing in God.

If God didn't exist, then who's keeping the universe in operation? It surely isn't man. If God didn't exist nothing else would, even people who don't believe in God.
