yes because it is a RECESSIVE gene, which means it is carried by your parents in their DNA, but it is not shown in them.
This means, one of your grandparents was AB negative, and this has been carried in the genes of your parents, however another blood type gene was dominant, and so they have a different blood type.

It is not possible to have a different blood type then both of your parents... say that you father was AB and your mother was O- you would either be AB or O. You would get your blood type from one or the other parent. I would do a little more research- but I dont think its possible.

Not only possible but highly likely, one parent is type A the other Type B. Boodtypes are defined by antigens on the surface of the red blood cells. they can have A antigens, B antigens, Neither for type O or both for Type AB. You inherited the gene for type A from one parent and type B from the other, you therefore have both

No, Each parent can carry a gene for two different blood types, and you receive one of those genes, so your blood type may not be the same as either of your parents. There are six different combinations of genes you could have. There are three variations of blood genes A, B and O--so any one person could have a combination like AA, BB, OO, AB, AO, and BO, or A,B, and O

Not as far as I know. If one is A and one is B then you could be AB but if neither of your parents are negative, then it must be some kind of throwback, but very unusual.

Not sure if it works this way but it could be a recessive gene that was carried by one of your parents
