A feral child (feral, i.e., "wild" or undomesticated) is a human child who, from a very young age, has lived in isolation from human contact and has no (or little) experience of human care, loving or social behavior, and, crucially, of human language. Feral children are extremely rare and can be brought up by animals, confined by humans (often parents) or live in the wild in isolation. Throughout the world, just over a hundred incidences of the phenomenon have been reported.[1] They are thus considered very interesting case studies from a sociological perspective. When completely brought up by animals the feral child copies and behaves (within physical limits) almost 100% like that particular animal-carer, including its variety of instincts, fear or indifference to humans, etc. Children with some human experience before isolation from humans are easier to rehabilitate after "discovery

Feral is another term for "wild", or natural, I guess you could say. Take here where I live. People raise domestics pigs. But, there is a terrible feral hog problem. Meaning, there are undomesticated, or wild, hogs roaming the countryside.

So, what the other answer was stating is that say the "Jungle Book" actually took place, and a child grew up with no other human contact at all, the concept of god would not "naturally" enter into their minds. They would eat, sleep, etc just like any other animal without higher intelligence. The only doctrine they would follow would be the natural instincts of survival and carrying on the species.

The person was stating that the concept of god is a learned one. Children are inherently born atheist, and learn, or are instructed at a young age about the various gods of the world.

They are children who grow up without love and without nurture. Some are taken in by animals - such as dogs. And mimic that behavor. Some of them do not have any language skills and some have very poor language skills. Usually there is no home in correcting this - the human brain forms it's most basic vocabulary by the age of three. Many experiments were done on these children, and on this subject. Quite sad. Yes, despite our modern technology there are still Feral Children in this world.
