No...they will still work. Crunches and other ab exercises are desgined to strengthen the muscles in your abs and midsection, and they will do that regardless of whether or not you do cardio.
However, you may not see the fruits of your labor unless you do cardio. Ab exercises won't take the fat off your belly...you need to cut calories and do cardio if you want the flab gone.

yes, you do. You should do cardio 3 days a week for around 30 min. Then do 3 days of ab exercises.

Yes.
Cardio is the fat burner. Crunches will build ab muscle, but they will still be covered by fat unless you do cardio exercises.

No. abs and obliques build without cardio. Crunches and ab ex's don't thin your stomach, cardio does.
