Wouldn't there be a problem? like returning a gift? A god gave us life... but he wants us to give it back? There is a politically incorrect term for that...

What we are supposed to give to God is ourselves and our time. He asks us to pray to him for forgivness and to come into our heart. when we do that we will never be the same person again. We will be better. And what he needs from us is to follow his plan.

Yes we are to offer ourselves to God, to do His will. And in return, we receive the gift of salvation and eternal life. He wants like what everyone else wants. Love, and respect and a thank you every once in a while. But I thank Him daily for all He has blessed me with

God doesn't need anything from us, but because He loves us He wants a relationship with us. Thats what is so neat about it, Almighty God wants to commune with us !!

God needs nothing from us.
All his mesengers have one mission.
To guide us to the best way to spend our life time in earth.
Try to beilieve in him and follow the teaching of one of his prophets and you will feel that it is not the matter of giving our self to him it rather discovering our selves and having good life in earth and be prepared to the hereafter.

All He wants is your love, your devotion. If you give Him that, obedience and all the rest will fall into place. He created you and loves you, and He wants you to love Him in return. He won't force you though - it's your choice.
