I've known this girl at work for over a year, I fell really hard for her, I couldn't stop thinking about her & the more I got to know her the stronger these feelings became. Unfortunately she is already in a relationship. We are friends, & I've tried to extend that outside of work. But after several attempts I've decided to move on, so I no longer go out of my way to see her. I'm not ignoring her or anything just making some space to help me move on. Is this the right thing to do, or am I being immature?

I believe that you are doing the right thing. She obviously knows how you feel about her but she is taken by someone else. You are being smart by dis-involving yourself and protecting your heart ultimately. If she does somewhere down the road become available then go for it (as long as you are available as well) but for now keep your distance, be cordial and say hello but know that what you are doing is right.

No, it sounds like you're going about it the right way. You have already expressed interest and it is clear she doesn't feel the same way and is already involved with someone. So it's good that you're moving on and the best way to do that is to distance yourself so that you don't continue falling for her.

This is the right thing to do! She's in a relationship already! Backing off is very mature!

no, not at all. on the contrary, you are being mature for walking away from something you know won't happen to save you heartache. good for you, however, i'm sorry about your circumstances. good luck in the future and i hope you find love with someone else.

Space is good. Move on, there are lots of fish in the sea, and lots of them are single.

NEVER EVER ignore a girl if you like her. All these games we play ruin peoples relationships because it just confuses the girl.

well if she is taken I'm sure you don't want to ruin her relationship with that other person so I think distancing yourself is a good idea.
