I notice that the most religious ones are the most unfaithful to their spouses, in my community.

Yes, they are--- and the reason is that they are the ones who CLAIM to be religious. They think that makes them better than others; gives them a false sense of prestige.
A person who is actually spiritually evolved (i.e. has a relationship with God and tries to serve God) is a very humble and tolerant person. Such a person realizes that each living entity has a 'spark' of God within-- and therefore should be treated with love and all respect.
Without humility a person can never develop their relationship with God--- nor can they help anyone else.
Sadly, many so-called religious people think they are better than others and try to preach at them in a condescending way--- thereby driving that person further from any thoughts of God.
The more one actually loves God, the more one automatically loves His parts and parcels--- humbly, quietly, kindly, and selflessly.

Yes at times. Also, the most religious are the most hypocritical. Example - good Christian, church going, Bible thumping Cathlolic man who, years ago when there was some trouble with the Native Americans here in New York, said "Custer didn't hand out enough small pox infected blankets back in the day". I told him people like him were the reason I don't believe in organized religion anymore.

I agree with Max Marie. Many people say they're "religious" when in truth, they're not. Their faith is displayed through their actions. If they were really religious, you'd be able to tell without even asking them. I'm not saying religous people are perfect - far from it! I'm a Christian, and I make mistakes right and left, but by the Blood of Christ, I've been made whole and new in His sight! If anyone isn't living their faith, they probably did not have any faith to begin with.

Did you know Bob the baker too? He was so miserable to work with, it was unbearable. I once had the gleeful chance in a shouting match with him once to tell him that for a person who claimed to be a Christian, he sure had a shitty attitude toward people. His jaw dropped, I swear. Deep down, I liked the poor bastard when he wasn't ornery and I felt a bit of pity for him because I knew he wasn't really a very happy person inside. That was probably because he so much like me in some ways, only crabbier and less tolerant.

Religion and Christianity are two different things. Religion is all rituals. Christianity is a personal relationship or should I say friendship with Jesus Christ.
Let me ask you a few questions:
1. have you ever lied? even a white lie? just one?
this makes you a liar (I know harsh words).
2. Have you ever stolen anything? even as a child? value does not matter.
this makes you a thief.
3. Have you ever commited adultery? even looked at a woman with lust?
this makes you an adulterer.
So according to the all holy God who created everything
you are a lying, thieving adulterer at heart. lets look at an example:
a mass murderer is caught and sentenced to death. Do you think the judge should be mercyful? No way. but you might say you havent murdered anyone. well Jesus said that anyone who hates anyone is giulty of murder (just for the record christians don't hate gays christians hate the sin of homosexuality).
so do you expect a holy God to allow an unrepentant theiving lying adultering murderer-at-heart into heaven? Happily, the Almighty Judge has provided a way to get into heaven; He came down to earth from all his glory and -- died an extremely painful death to pay your penalty for your sin. Imagine that; God loved you so much that he died for you.
You cannot work off the penalty of sin; you must repent (turn away from) from your sin and accept Jesus Christ as your personal Savior today because you do not know when you may die -- you do not know what tommorow will bring.......

I work with one of the most annoying creations on Earth. I can't use her real name, so I'll call her Foghorn, which is the name I gave her when no one is looking, lol. She's got a very deep and LOUD voice, thus, she's Foghorn.
Foghorn is loud, and we work in a call center, which is very rude because it makes it difficult for the rest of us to hear the callers when she's speaking. I've asked her three times to please lower the volume, but she totally ignored the requests.
I'm a Baha'i, and every year we fast from 2-20 March. This is our month of Ala, which is our month of fasthing. One year, Foghorn offered me food, and I said no thank you. She asked "are you sure?" and I said "Yes, I'm fasting." She couldn't believe her ears! "WHAAAT!!???!?" I said "Yes, I'm a Baha'i, and right now we're fasting." "WHAAAATT??!?!?!??!" Oh man, she had the most twisted facial expression!! That was very VERY RUDE. I thought, "Is that how you treat everyone who's different?"
Another thing... she assumes she knows what you're about to say, and finishes your sentences for you. ANNOYING!!! No, she doesn't know what I'm gonna say, and has erred many many times. Oh man, that is annoying, because she's NOT LISTENING. Big know it all. ARROGANT!!!
Foghorn has a very big, open heart, but a very narrow, closed mind. This is the most IRRITATING thing, and a foul characteristic to have, a closed mind. A mind like stone.
Foghorn is slowwwwww on the phone, which means the rest of us have to pick up the slack. Our supervisor has even said something to her (and to the rest of the slowpokes), and Foghorn took it personally. "You don't have to get personal about it." Supervisor said, "Well, it's meant personally, 'cause I'm sick of taking your calls."
Did that make a dent into Foghorn's slowness? No, it didn't. I swear, it's NOT FAIR when she takes her sweet time on the phone, and the rest of us are stressing, trying to get the calls answered timely. Not fair at all, and Foghorn has no intentions of gettin' with the program.
Oh yeah, Foghorn is Super Annoying Christian. She calls parishoners regularly, every day in fact, to schedule church events. Fine, whatever, but please, keep it down. I don't care about your personal goings-on.
I guess my huge beef with Foghorn isn't only her annoying habits, but what she represents. For two years, while in high school, I was a churchy, smug Protestant, just as Foghorn is. Before that I was a Catholic, and got caught in the snare of lies about Catholicism that these Protestants told me. I believed them, fell for it hook-line-and-sinker. Lies!!! UGLY LIES!!! Two years later, I returned to Catholicism, all the better for it. Whew! From then on, I've had a BIIIIIIIIG beef with Protestantism, and since Foghorn is such a CHURCHY CHURCHY Christian, she IRRITATES ME TO THE MAAXXX!!!!! I hate her and what she represents!!!
Ooooo,I can't stand Foghorn!

I think your wrong... the most unpleasant, most irritation and annoying people are the non-believers who are full of hatred and who are blinded and live in darkness.
