People may be born with a tendency/drive towards homosexuality... it does not make it right however, living by our impulses does not lead to holiness (animals do not know the difference between right and wrong, but we are accountable)... for those that are in this predicament I feel for you, the answer is continous prayer (God may absolve you of this temptation all together) and abstinance... accept the truth that you are attracted, but do not act on it... become a living sacrifice for God (much like a priest).

I want to be careful about using the word "normal." Homosexuality isn't the norm for human beings; if it was, procreation and the survival of the species would be blown all to heck. There is also a difference, to the Roman Catholic Church, at least, between homosexuality and homosexual sex. The inclination and act are considered to be two very different things.

Why do I accept homosexuals? I my personal experience, homosexuals deal with relationships the same as heterosexuals. You have some who sleep around, some who only get intimate when in a committed, long-term relationship. I figure that committed love between two people that includes trust, respect, and friendship should be praised no matter who the two people are. (Examples of the opposite include race relations, ethnic/religious differences, heck, even Romeo and Juliet political stuff.)

I don't agree with the Roman Catholic Church in their stance regarding sex in general - that it must always be open to the possibility of procreation - which is one of the biggest reasons behind sexual teaching.

Besides, Jesus taught us to love one and other. God will take care of the rest.

Because some Christians feel like they have accept the minority view because the minority in this country shout the loudest.

The homosexual issue is not so much about their so-called "rights', it is about trying to force the Christian church to change.

The homosexual issue could be put to rest easily by getting our federal government and State governments to get out of the marriage business completely.

But the steady rise in enrollment in Christian schools show that still most Christians are standing fast.

And, so, why do many Christians call themselves pro-choice?
Of course being pro-choice is being pro-abortion but don't tell them that, because being for "choice" allows a middle ground, although that middle ground really isn't there is it?

If a christian accepts the whole of both the old testament and tne new testament as the word of God, they cannot accept homosexuality. Read the book of Ecclesiasties (pardon the spelling). It says in there, when God is talking to Moses, that homosexuality is an abomination before God and that those caught in homosexual acts are to be put to death. It says so in blunt terms, this is not my own interpretation. Read it.

You question assumes your idea (or non-idea) of "normal" is shared by all and sundry. Even on Christian terms, "normality" would have the hell of a time getting defined properly. Do you mean "normal" as "better?" And is that "better" as defined by Paul, wherein one should always struggle against any sexuality and only give in when you can't resist, and wherein celibacy is even better? And is ALL heterosexuality "normal?"
In short, your "normal" is a straw-man. All we know is that some tenth of the human population (and some uindetermined percentage of various animal populations) are "homosexually oriented."

Some Christians look at Paul's teaching about "unnatural" relationships. And argue that for a homosexual to engage in sex with someone of the opposite sex it would be an unnatural relationship.
Others would say that Christians don't take everything literally from the Bible. Jesus said to sell everything and follow him. Do we do that? Not usually.

Homosexuality is a natural phenomenon found in human life as well as in the animal world. Are the animals evil, Satan spawn too? Not to mention the fact that homosexuality resides from differences in the brain from heteros -- it is NOT a choice. Why would anyone choose to be hated or persecuted as gay people have been so much in the past? Canada has it right -- we allow gay marriage and our society is not falling apart around us in the least. Gays are God's children like anyone else, he made all people, he made all natural things. God does not hate people for something they cannot help, would he hate someone for being born with only one leg? no! Would God be so cruel as to create the possibility of being gay and then condemn someone to not being able to be loved by someone for their whole lives? no!

As Christians, we are called by Jesus to love everyone... that includes gays too!

As a Christian, I can't be ássed to follow every fúcking rule, screw it!
If some cúnt came over to me saying that homosexuality was wrong, I'd kick his áss. Personally, I accept homosexuality as normal

Why:

1. Because I can.

2. Because there is nothing more natural than love. It's still love whether its man and woman, man and man or woman and woman.

Probably for the same reason why many Christians today, compared to Christians from five centuries ago, also accept the idea that the earth is round, and that people with birthmarks are not witches: because we've learned much more about the world since those days.

I don't know what you mean by "accepting." Do you mean, endorsing? God tells us to love the person, but hate the sin. I know several homosexuals, but I do not encourage their life style. I would help them in an emergency, befriend them, etc., but within boundaries, because as a born again christian, I do believe God's word (all of it) and He explicitly tells us not to "lay down with another person of the same gender." He repeatedly says it, about men w/men, women w/women, adultery, fornication before marriage, etc. I believe what He says. So, I do not "accept" a gay life style, but at the same time, I would not chastize that person either, that is God's job. God looks at all sin as equally and He will judge man's heart. It's the same for me as a liar, or murderer, or thief...God has set boundaries and we need to live within them. I actually have more freedom living in Christ then I did when I was living a worldly life style because I was in bondage to sin, not anymore!! :)
