Call or get with a friend you know will make you smile.
I always like to watch sad movies like the Notebook or Titanic; I think letting out all of your sorrow is a good thing once in a while, rather than bottle it up and fake a smile.
Or, what always makes me happy is helping someone out when they're feeling down or just making them smile.

Watch a funny movie.
Call a friend and ask them to cheer you up.
Exercise (its been proven that when you exercise your body releases endorphins that can elevate your mood).
Treat yourself! Go shopping or go out and have some icecream or eat a favorite meal.
Try not to think about whatever has you down. I know that this is sometimes easier said than done but distract yourself whenever possible so that you're not thinking about negative things. Good luck and cheer up!

Go find a dog park or pet store - watching animals be their silly little selves will perk you up. Sometimes I go to the Petco next door and watch the mice mob each other to run on their wheel - it's crazy and always makes me laugh.
Or, another sure fix for when you're feeling sad or uncomfortable is to find someone who else who is sad and do something nice for them. It's surprising how well this works.

look at some memorable pictures that make you smile, think back to things that once made you smile and why then keep that thought in your head so when ever you feel this way again (God forbids) you can reflect on the things that make you happy,
also surround yourself with happy motivated people that are into positive things, or go watch a comedy movie or favorite tv sitcom

Why are you depressed, home, relationship, money, death in the family? I too went through this many years ago, it's no picnic. Try watching something silly, like the three stooges, or Sanford and son,it Say's casa, so I'm assuming your Spanish. the episodes with Julio. And if that doesn't work , try talking to someone you trust, brother, mother, father,etc. And if that fails, believe you me, you will survive this!!!!!!! You have to believe this, if i COULD TELL YOU ALL THE THINGS I've BEEN THROUGH, AND YET I SURVIVED!!!!! You will too, you have to believe this!!!!!!

Aside from eating comfort foods, which you'll be adding more pounds; make some activities. Go to the cinema, read books, call friends,go out with friends, look at your photo albums, go to gym, do some gardening, many activities if u like.

Do something you haven't done in a while that you enjoy. Change your routine a little.
You could always work out; that releases endorphins and you'll feel better after a good work out.
Or just take the other route and eat something AMAZING you haven't had in a while.

Tell me, why are you depressed ? You don' know someone here cares for for you a lot. What happened ? What is the reason of depression.
