You should call you local hospital and ask for the volunteer department. They would be able to tell you if you can help or not. You should be able to help put paperwork together and some floors might even let you answer phones or fill water pictures for patients. You can also deliver books and magazines. Another thing is if your hospital doesnt have something in place you can start one up.

Most hospitals(at least around here) will only let you volunteer if you are a CNA. You may be able to volunteer, but without training you will be cleaning low-risk areas.
