You may have read in the USA Today yesterday (isn't that funny to say!) that the current culture in the United States is as biblically illiterate as ever.
Since a LOT of parents are leading their kids down the wrong path, what are we going to do to help the next generation? If they aren't doing their jobs, do we have to do it for them?
I wouldn't mind putting the worst of these kids in foster homes, but since that just isn't going to happen, how can we get our school to develop strong Christian programs?
It's amazing. We let some people in this country to spread the lies of muhammyd, buddha and the like. I mean gosh, some parents will tell their kids all sorts of tall tales about the likes of Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, their great Grandfather. But they won't give them true details about how God created himself in the form of man, sacrificed his life for us, ascending up to the heavens, and spoke as an angel to the prostitute Mary!
Since we have to help with the parenting obviously, how can we go about doing this?

Wow. Your sentiments churn my stomach. I think I threw up a little in my mouth reading that...
I think we should rescue your children and place them in foster care. Teach them about reality and science. Better yet, perhaps we should simply sterilize beleivers such as yourself, so that you arent able to procreate and poison the minds of others.
How's that make you feel?

It seems to me that the chief complaint against Christians is your superiority complex, and your inability to live in peace with people who hold different religious or philosophical convictions than you. So, I'd say this post is really just another of the millions of steps backwards you people take everyday in your futile and pathetic attempt to win converts. Any child I raise would have their wits about them enough to have gotten a serious case of the heebie-jeebies from what you just wrote to ensure they would be staying far away from the Christian churches. Good job. You people really need to work on your PR. "biblically illiterate"? And let me ask, exactly how "Koran literate" are you? Or "Tibetan Book of the dead literate"? Exactly. All that matters to you people is your own little world. If this is what your bible teaches you, you'll have to excuse me and my family if we "pass."

Organized religion is SO last century! :)
i believe in God and pray, but i don't think we should educate anyone on religion. if they want to know about they will ask. and if they don't want to, that's cool too.
if you want to go to the bus station and hand out papmlets like the others you can. but stay away from our schools. our schools should be religion free, they have a hard enough time focusing on just teaching our kids the 3 R's without having to add a 4th! i'd rather have the kids of tomorrow be smart than religious

You can't be serious! Do you really believe that in a democracy this kind of thing can be done? This kind of thinking is anti-American! I was born Jewish and my children were raised Jewish...If any school or any person dared to try to teach my children about Christianity, I would have sued them for violating the separation of church and state rule.

I would highly recommend Vacation bible school for the kids during the summer. I went as a child and learned a lot. Most churches have abandoned the practice though. Lets pray for our youth, God loves them.

The best thing we can do is pray and hope that Christian children will lead by example. I know my children have invited friends to church with them. These kids were really happy to go and their parents let them. We cannot force our beliefs on anyone. I don't want to see any religion taught in school. I want to see faith shown through Christians.
May God Bless you.

I think a great way to teach the word of Christ would be to play subliminal messages under music during a lunch break or in the hall way. Then they could not hide from the love Heavenly Father has for them.

As far as I am aware, Christians don't or shouldn't inflict superiority like that. Is that not a sin? I don't believe in God. But for anyone who does, did he say that religion is something that should be forced down someones throat? I have a religion, and it is much like Buddhism in that we don't believe in God. If my children want to believe in Christ, then I have no problem in that, but I'll try to educate them about other religions and allow them to decide.

Christianity has been forced down kid's throats for hundreds of years, and your style of recruiting through scare-tactics has finally lost it's novelty value.
Your days are numbered.

You need to move to a country that is a theocracy or has a dictator. In the US, people are guaranteed the right to follow their own religion.
You teach your kids whatever you like. I prefer mine to know the truth.
