Eating the right kinds of foods such as fruit and vegetables, and make sure you skip foods with sugar since most of the foods today have high carbs and you should atleast skip foods high in carbs. Also, drink green tea with antioxidents.

Everyone says they "watch what they eat".

It is not just about controlling your food intake, but what makes up that food intake.

1000 calories of doritos and twix is going to have a much different impact on you than 1000 calories of say spinach and lean chicken breast.

I would suggest you not only learn about nutrition but also try to excercise. If you are unable to then it can be as simple as changing your household chores or travel patterns to something that is more than just "driving". Take a walk instead of watching that extra married with children re-run.

I would suggest you buy some nutrition books and invest time into reading them. If you invest time into formulating your own eating strategy that works for you- you will be more likely to follow it.

Also most "diet" books don't take into account medical issues that have to do with what you can and cannot eat and are merely trying to sell "thier" form of eating which often leaves out critical information and presents a short term weight loss gain, but in the long run you might gain it back (and more) and it creates health problems- like Atkins diet.

I would reccomend beginning with Eat Drink and Be healthy, the harvard medical school guide to healthy eating.

It focuses on nutrition and an "optimal food pyramid" for health reasons, not so much weight loss- although these two often go hand in hand, that is not always the case.

I would focus on eating healthy first if you are 165 then they go hand in hand. Its when people are "cutting" or trying to get a really low body fat % that goes into the dangerous range that this tends to happen.

EDIT: Fasting is actually not very healthy for you except in limited VERY carefull use. It is NOT good as a way to control weight. If you fast, you will slow down your body's metabolism. Your body will go into "starvation" mode and start storing things as fat and break down your muscles (they are made of protiens) which in turn will mean that you will burn even less calories.

baby steps, baby steps.
walk 15-20 minutes a day around your neighborhood. you can do that in your regular clothes.
Cut out some of your snacking. Cook some of your food at home, and plan filling, but healthy meals. Doesn't have to be super-super healthy: MOST food you cook at home is much better than what you get when you eat out.
It takes a month for these habits to take hold. Get a buddy to hold you accountable, and get yourself to do it for about 30 days, and then it'll feel natural.
If you set crazy standards for losing weight, it won't work.
You MUST NOT DIET! YOu must change your foods to be something you can live with for LIFE. So eat a bit healthier, but w/in what you can reasonably do and commit to.
If you go crazy for 2 days and starve yourself, it's pointless. Only works if you can hold to something for a while. And that'll be the little things.

If ur losing weight to have a baby then u need to concentrate more on being healthy than thin. Eat 3 healthy meals and a snack a day and u should keep the cals to 1200 a day. It will melt off without exercise. Mine did. Good Luck.

Unfortunate for you, it takes exercise and eating right to lose weight the proper way.
And no, your WBC count really has no affect on dieting. Just probably means you are fighting off an infection internally right now....

Sounds to me like you shouldn't be having babies. A clue is the two miscarriages. Maybe you are too stressed and worried about it that you can't lose weight. Plus there's no way to lose weight without excercise. Changing your eating habits would help too.

you might ask your doctor and see if he/she can make you some blood test to see if you hav PCOS
and if you do you are more willing to have difficulties on losing weight and easy to gain it. and have also problems on getting pregnant. but for you to lose weight the best think is to do some good workout and if u don't like it you can also dance for one hour and drink a LOT of water as well and don't eat anythink when it comes to 5:00 in the evening cause at night its when we but more calories to our body and there is no way our body is going to burn them sleeping.

Exercise is King and Nutrition is Queen. If you have both, then you have a wonderful Kingdom. A wise man once said that: Jack Lalanne.

your wbc has nothing to do with weight loss. and i dont think u are serious about loosing weight. cuz if you are, u will be willing to do anything, especially one of the few things that are necessary for successful weight loss which is exercise.
