I can't take this anymore, i think are fearful of me because of how I look. What the hell do I do? I'm like the most laid back nicest guy on the planet but people seem to fear me, unless they already know me.

My best buddy is shaven bald and looks mean as hell, he intimidates just about everyone, but he is really a nice guy as well. You just need to make an extra effort to let people know your really a cool dude!!!

Lol, that's just people being judgmental & ignorant. Don't take it out on yourself. I'm a quiet guy and most people either think I'm weird or there's something wrong with me, where in fact when someone gets to know me i'm pretty outgoing and social. You may want to concentrate on facial and body language, because that also plays a factor into it too, you may unknowingly be giving the image that you want to be left alone or not be bothered, ask some of your close friends and family about how people perceive you and you may be surprised.

Haha I know how that is. Most people always think I'm pissed off or sad especially when I'm tired.
Try laugh more and be more relaxed. Also don't be afriad to try start a consveration with others. Usually once I start a consveration with others, they quickly see that I have a great sense of humor and doesn't get offend easily at all.

Yeah..... I have/had the same problem. Might sound cheesy but I find when I walk around campus just whistling/humming to a song and cracking an occasional smile, people are a lot more likely to respond positively

If people seem afraid around you smile and maybe crack a joke about something.

I get that a lot too about my eyes. I have big black eyes. Very Indian Subcontinental, people are just not used to it that's why they feel intimidated.

I have the same problem-people are always telling me I look like I am mad but it's just the shape of my mouth. SMILE!!!!!!!

it depends on what kind of expression you have on your face, because, really that's the first thing that anyone would look at. really now, would you walk up to some who had a grumpy look on their face? i don't think so
