No! allthough a lot of older people (like me) would like to be young again and remember all they've learned. If I could be 18 again I wouldn't take life, boys, sex seriously I'd just enjoy lol

No, not every young individual is caught in a constant cycle of superficial living, the time of youth is for learning and taking advice from those who are wiser and those who ought to know better. Am extremely mindful of the connotations of the age 30 and what that can mean, would not say that the years of between 18-30 are anything to write home about, especially since I can speak for a segment of generation X, the right degree, the right contacts, the right attitude and the right life chances are much more valuable than a good time as in youth language,

youthful bodies are wasted on the young!! who are too self conscious to appreciate themselves.life is a cycle -dependency - independence - back to dependency, we should be born with old bodies and by the time we have matured back to a young body we will appreciate it and know what lifes about and how to enjoy it, then as we get old we become cute and families will want to look after us instead of sticking us in a home!! now that would be perfect

I never really understood the meaning of this until I got older. Now I do. Yes, youth is positively wasted on the young. When you're older you have so much more knowledge to do things and your body is no longer able. The mind is willing but the flesh isn't able.

In some ways it can be viewed that way yes.
It is some people's view that older people would have the experience knowledge and means to enjoy the fruits of youth more.

In our youth we take so many things for granted -- the agility of our bodies, the simple joys of life. When we're young we are so caught up in things we believe will make us happy. We don't look to our selves for happiness.

In some respects this may be true. I can no longer do some of the things I did 50 years ago, however, I am much wiser. I like the latter.

No...I dont agree at all. I understand why some elderly would say this, because they have insight into their past and feel they could have used it better...but this is a reflection of their unfullfilled dreams.
We all do, what we percieve to be correct...so someone young will be handleing accordingly.

Yes, if I had the body, the energy of when I was young and the wisdom and money I have now, life would be more perfect.

It is in the sense that the young won't understand how great the freedom they have is until they have to give it up. But it is great being young and the old wish they were young!
