Most likely, the only officers that would be allowed mohawks would be those assigned to vice/narcotics units. In that case, it would be beneficial to "blend" with the clientele that they are working around.
Otherwise, mohawks are not very likely to be allowed.

Only if it's a one person police department!!! Detectives are a different story. If you're questioned by one wearing a pink
Mohawk you know you'll tell him the truth! ( Either that or laugh yourself to death! )

Yes you can because it would be discriminating if they didn't hire some one because they had a Mohawk

I depends on the standards of the individual department. It also depends on the type of officer they are, uniform, etc.

no, in some cases under cover officers may, but the dress codes are very strict.
