SELF is a conventional term we use to define the accumulation of mental and physical aggregates (body and senses, mental faculties like memories, feelings, contact, will or volition, aspirations or creativity) at the present point in time. Ironically, none of these ultimately exist.

The individual self is an illusion that the greater self uses to explore ideas such as good and evil and love and fear.

We think of our selves as these individual selves and interact together for a time then we exit the material idea and recombine as our true self.
