I have this guy friend who is going on a trip to Wisconsin for the weekend to pick up some parts for a Monster truck he is working on. He asked me if I wanted to go along and see a truck show while he was there. I said yes, that it would be interesing since I haven't been to one before. Anyway, a friend of mine asked him about what he was doing for the weekend and he told her that he was going to Wisconsin, and she asked if he was going alone, and he said, "No, someone invited themselves to go", knowing full well at the time, he invited me to go. Now, why would he tell her that, when it isn't true? It's like he tells me one thing and tells her something completely different (by the way, she's married...i'm single). Only serious answers please!!!

we've already been on a few "dates" as friends, and when my friends ask how it went, I tell them that we went to a nice restaurant he picked out, and went to a movie he picked out. But, when he's asked the same question, it's the opposite. Can't figure out why? Is he afraid of something????

He's not interested in my friend, she just found out recently that he has lied to her and can't figure out why he would do it. They've been friends for years, and now he's lying to her. She won't talk to him now.....

I think that he is nervous. Some guys do that when they get nervous or when they don't want to seem controling. It sound like to me that he doesn't want people to see his sweet and romantic side.Ask him why he does it. And let him know it bothers you. I don't know how he'll take your question but i don't think it will do any damage. It won't hurt to ask. Beside you deserve to know.

Well, my thoughts are that 1) he is a jerk or 2) he is interested in your friend. I wouldn't go. Unless there's a chance (not trying to be accusatory) that your friend may not have told you the story correctly.

It sounds shady to me. I'm not sure you should still be considering going to the show! (or out with him ever again, actually.)

Hard to say. He might have an agenda. Doesn't sound like he thinks all that much of you either.

You only hide things or lie when you feel guilty about something. He may be hiding feelings for you.
