i have to write a five paragraph theis paper on why did the us drop a bomb on hiroshima but i have too chosse a side like was it ok for the us or not wat would your eassy say

I would say that in a time of war, the lives of your fellow countrymen are worth more than the lives of the enemy, and you should be willing to trade the latter for the former. If we had not shortened the war with the spectacular blasts of the A-bombs, we would ahve had to fight it out by island-hopping, then invading the main islands of Japan, at a tremendous cost of US lives. Using the A bomb prevented that.
One more thing to consider: Before the A-bomb was available, we firebombed Tokyo (also Dresden), and that cost more lives and did more damage than the A-bomb did. Is it so immoral that the damage was done by ONE 91) bomb, instead of hundreds??

I don't know how old you are but you have been given an assignment that calls for YOUR opinion. Read the facts and you decide if it was a just cause or not. The teacher cannot give you a bad mark for your opinion, just for not supporting, or giving why you think the way you do. Do the research of why America dropped the bomb and decide if you agree or disagree with the choice made. Tell why you disagree or agree. There is no wrong answer. The teacher wants you to learn how to research on your own and come up with your own conclusions. To many adults form their opinions on what other people say. Don't be like that. Find the facts and make a choice. Good luck!

Thats a easy one, To stop a war they started. The USA did more damage dropping fire bombs on Japan then two A bombs. We had a choice, drop the A bomb or send in a million men and invade Japan. We dropped two A bombs and the war was over in less then a week and millions of lifes saved. We need to act like our fathers did durning WW2 and this mess in Iraq would be over in days.

I usually pick the side that dropped the bomb. The reason why is that they did it to end the war. It's a really easy thesis to write.

i'd put in there that it wasnt ok because we killed lots of innocent people and for what reason did we do this.
