Well, it's not all it's cracked up to be. 27 is a good age to get married. I'm 38 and if I had to do it over again I wouldn't. I'm not knocking marriage if you find the right person- but I didn't.

Good luck. Don't rush into it just because you want the wedding or just want to say you're married. It takes alot of work to keep a marriage going.

I don't see any reason why people should get married before the age of 25 ... !

I was married at 20 divorced at 21 .... I'm engaged now - and plan on getting married next year for the last time - I'll be 26 ... !

I got married at 19 (bad choice, too young)...and again at 28 (that was an okay age, just not an okay guy to marry), so I'm not planning on going for a 3rd time but ya never know what may happen...

I always imagined getting married around 27.

It's tricky because you don't want to put yourself in a situation where you are likely to settle...I want to get married when I find that special girl...thought I did and was with her from 22 til 26 ...I thought I'd be married by now but it wasn't in the cards...I don't think it's a good idea to put pressure on yourselves or set standards...there is nothing wrong with waiting until you know...it might even help the divorce rate drop from 56% .....

just my 2 cents

Late 20s seem to be popular. The age for marriage is movin' up! People are more independent now so they don't have to rely on marriages to survive. Also, since the average American is living longer then ever, they probably figure "what's the rush?"

I personally am looking to get married in my late 20s also. :)

i'm getting married this august and i will be 24..
my sister just got engaged and she will be getting married on 2008 and will be 22!
i don't think age really matters when you get married, as long as you are happy and know that you found the right person.
some ppl get married when they are young, some wait until they are older- it's all a personal choice...

ideally, about 24, so i could start having children by the time i was 25/26. hmm but ive kind of done that backwards, im pregnant now at 22, and will most likely be getting married soon after the baby is born.
