The normal processing time is stated at the IRS for electronically filed returns to be 3 weeks from the date they receive it, if there are no issues or errors on your return you might get it sooner.

I know how frustrated you must be because you have been waiting for so long for your refund. Since they did not update your status last Wed on the IRS website (based on your earlier posts) I would think that they would update it next Wed--for a Friday, March 16th deposit date. Since your status is still saying March 20-which is a Tuesday-that is pretty normal as everyone initially gets a Tuesday date. It will change to Friday 3/16 I am sure but it won't be updated until next week on Wed. I know it's hard to wait, but based on me filing 2 hours later on one day (I did not file before 11AM and missed the cut off), I had to wait another whole week for my refund and they did not update my status until 2 days before my deposit!

Hang in there---I'm sure by next Friday you will have your refund!

It depends on which forms you've returned and the volume of returns at the center you've sent it to. As the old joke goes:

Take a number: 14,307,941
Now serving: 83

Also, did you file electronically (faster) or by paper? Through a tax preparer (faster) or by yourself? Through a commercial off-the-shelf software program, or directly through a registered Electronic Transmitter (faster)? Corporate or individual or both (slower)? The amount of your gross income can slow it down: the more you made, the more they might want a human being to pull it first.
