Better try bitters then or house wine unless the pub/bar have a deal on doubles double vodka and red bull is popular and most places do it on a special deal!

Wine and whiskey will get you sloshed way faster than beer will because it contains more alcohol. Sloe gin, rum, brandy, vodka are other choices.
