You should cut your bangs to frame your face. You will be surprised by how much bangs will change the shape of your hair.

First you need to tame the frizziness by using a conditioning shampoo and conditioner. Joico K-Pak is great.
Use a super absorbant hair towel (Aquis or The Body Shop). Then spray a leave in conditioner. Use a wide toothed comb and start from the bottom to comb out tangles.
When blow drying, use a diffuser if you want to preserve the curl. Form soft ringlets w/ your fingers and avoid using a brush.
If you want to blow dry it straight, partially dry your hair. Section it and clip the sections up. Start at the bottom and work each section w/ a wide, curved, vent brush creating a little tension to hold your hair straight. Work your way upwards through the sections.
Afterwards, apply a glossing/smoothing serum, Kiehl's Silk Groom or jojoba oil to tame your hair and keep it smooth.
As for styling, you can make a sophisticated ponytail by wearing it low, wrapping a section of your hair around the elastic and securing it with a pin. You can also use a ribbon for a touch of whimsy.
Hair bands are in this season. Plain thin ones are very classic. Or you can use a scarf for a retro '60s look. You can embellish plain ones with hot glue and buttons or beads for a casual or evening look.
You can make your hair into a neat bun. For a plain but finished look, pin down strays w/ hair pins that have tortoise shell on one side. (Goody makes them.) For a dressier effect use hair pins w/ pearls or rhinestones.
For a casual look, make a messy bun or chignon.
You can braid your hair & wear the braid down. Or you can loosely braid your hair & create a bun.
BTW, you can braid your hair after shampooing and let it dry. Take out the braids and you'll have a loose wave/crimp that's perfect for a beachy, summer look.
Allure & InStyle are really good magazines for hair style ideas.

Try some Anti-Frizz serum, try getting it straightened at a salon and ask what products would be helpful to you. You should also try layers, I think it looks really nice on blondes.

a little trick i used to get the frizz out is to towel dry your hair as much as possible. Then put in mousse and then brush it out. Then get paper towels, use the paper towels to scrunch your hair. Put the towel in your hand and grab your hair and scrunch it. It works, i swear. It takes the moisture out and doesn't make it frizz.

Don't blow dry it, put a little anti-frizz cream in it and curl it with hot rollers or a large barrel curling iron.
