Do you think people should be allowed to pay for items in the grocery store using checks or should checks only be used for mailing bills?

Should people who use checks be charged a $1 handling fee or would that be interfering with free will?

Should the use of cash be restricted to purchases under $1

Should the 11th commandment be "Thou shalt not hold up the line"?

I think they should have self-checkout lines in all grocery stores everywhere.. additionally, they should have lines for Cash, Coins, Credit Cards, Checks, et al.. if someone wants to pay the hard way, let them all wait in the same line ;)

Tough questions all.... Forbidding the use of checks at grocery stores sounds good on the surface, but you have to consider all the ramifications. My wife would of course refuse to go shopping anymore, since she can't imagine the possibility of buying groceries without using checks. But that would mean I would have to do all the grocery shopping. This sounds good in a way, I'd stick to the list and get everything we needed instead of getting distracted by every little thing I see, but in my single days, this method meant me going a day without eating because I only bought exactly what I needed and a hurricane hit the day I ran out and I couldn't buy anything else for 2 more days.... Deep question, shonuff.

The definition of cash includes:

Currency, coins, tills, petty cash, change funds

Money orders, checks, certiifed checks, cashier's checks, travellor's checks, bank drafts

Checking and savings accounts, money market accounts

All of these are economically the same thing. For businesses, the rules are even more relaxed, because businesses can include in cash something called "cash equivelents", any investment maturing within 90 days.

(Somehow I don't see anything about religion in this.)
