I went to art school for about 1 and 1/2 year and during my final semester, I had a falling out with my teachers and left the school. I received an F in three of my courses at that school and decided to transfer to a community college instead, and doing pretty well there. I 'm going to transfer to a state university but afraid the grades from art school will affect my admission. Is it possible to get into a state school with failing grades. Can I make up more them?

Ask the schools what their policy is. Some schools will replace a lower grade with a higher grade when you repeat a class. In general, state universities have to accept you at least once. The mission of most of the state schools in this country originally was to educate poor white farm raised children to prepare them to become stewards for large industrial concerns.

I get the impression that you are caucasian. Remember, caucasians still have privilege - don't worry about whether you'll be accepted or not, you're already pre-approved!

It's going to be a lot harder to get into a state university, and you're going to have to be able to explain those failing grades; they're not going to want to admit you if they don't think that you're capable of doing the work, or if you're (I'm not accusing you here, just saying what they might think) lazy or unmotivated. I suggest you call the admissions office of the school that you plan to apply to and discuss the situation with them

you will might desire to take the class over so as that the F can get replaced with a extra effectual grade. maximum folk do have a f or 2 and d's and c's in thier transcript. THis one classification shouldn't end ur tranfer technique. I advise which you're taking different training in the summer season that are ordinary, ike artwork, pe or dance those training do strengthen ur GPA so as that it looks extra effectual. additionally take the learning that ur admissions counselor has reported, in case you failed the maths classification possibly you'll be able to desire to get an excellent decrease remedial math classification, its no longer something to be ashamed approximately, the superb difficulty is that ur workign on your destiny you will get there and robust success
