I have been dating this guy for about 3 months now and things could not be any better. We have not said that we are "exclusive", but we are. We both have children and spend the night at each others home. Now heres the thing, when I spend that night at his house, everything is fine. But lately the last couple of times he had slept over, he peed in my bed. Of course, being a man (31yo), he was embarrassed and was not sure why that happened. That it had not happened to him since he was a child. I personally did not see the big deal in it, just changed the sheets and kissed him....i love him. But last night he came over again and the same thing happened, once again I dismissed. Now the thing that I was telling him was that during those nights, its like he is fighting in his sleep and having a discussion with someone b/c he starts to say stuff out loud, some you can understand and some you cant. So why is this happening to him and why only at my house? I am confused by this? SERIOUS REPLIES

Well, when he did it the first time and told me, I asked if he did it at home and he said no. And I dont think he would lie to me about that, seeming how embarrassed he was....he would not have lied about it. We are honest about everything.

I was starting to worry if it was me or my bed, since he never does that when I sleep at his house.

Bed-wetting that starts in adulthood — also called secondary enuresis — is uncommon and requires medical evaluation. Cause may include:Diabetes. Urinary tract infection. Urinary tract stones. Prostate enlargement. Bladder cancer. Neurological disorders. Rarely, acute anxiety or other emotional disorders may be the cause of adult bed-wetting. A doctor may be able to identify the cause of adult bed-wetting based on: Medical history. Physical examination. Urine tests. Urologic examinations and tests. Neurological evaluation. Treatment is directed at the underlying cause, when possible.
I add a link which discusses this matter.

This is obiviously a psychological condition. He is probably experiencing something from his past while he dreams that is triggering this effect. I would say it's just a dream but it's happened more than once so it's probably the same dream. Perhaps he's been thinking about something in the past a lot lately that makes its way into his dreams. When people worry or put serious thought about something continuously day in and day out, dreams formulate around that issue and can sometimes disturb the subconcious. I would suggest he see a shrink to talk it out.

It could be a sleep disorder, it could be prostrate related or anything in between. I would think that because he is talking and combative, he would need to see a doctor. Primary care doctor can make a referral to a sleep center and a urologist. Be supportive and go with him. Just be matter of fact like it's no big deal. (pride thing)

WOW!!!

Get the phone book, look up "Urologists". Tell them what is happening, and be honest. .

How do you know he never does it in his own bed. Are you together all the time?

For an adult male to start doing this, there's a problem. Make that call.

It could be psychological or physical. But he needs to see his doctor either way. He could have a serious problem with his bladder or urethra and unable to hold it in his sleep.

He needs to see a doctor. It might be a simple fix, or he needs to wear a depends.
