So many are misinformed about the war because the government isn't making it a priority to inform the people.

Your partially right, It is not that they are misinformed, it is that they allow themselves to be only partially informed. They are people content to take the media, liberal opinions and water cooler (jumping on someone elses band wagon because it seems to make some kind of sense) theorys at face value instead of doing a little reading and investigating in order to form their own educated opinions.

A lot of people on this site couldn't even read in 1991 and many others form all their opinions from sound bites on TV and from things that celebraties say.
It's sad and scary too that they can vote.

(mis)information overload. With so much information, and with much of it being contradictory, people use whatever information they find to support presupposed beliefs.
This is even true of the President (whom I support); many academics who have been invited to speak with him have mentioned (among academic circles) that they felt the Administration was looking for supporting evidence for what they had already decided, rather than making a decision based on evidence.
It all comes down to how interested the individual is in his/her pursuit of truth.

All the reasons we went to war could be applied to N. Korea, Saudi Arabia, and a handful of other countries. I assume you would also support starting wars with all of those countries? Or do you think it isn't feasible to just start wars with any country that poses a small threat? Because then we would be fighting a dozen wars. I believe war was not our last resort with Iraq. And I believe war should only be used as a last resort.

It goes both ways.
Who is misinformed about what?
Certainly, it is a fact that the USA is spending close to $2 billion per week. For what? Why are Americans getting killed everyday?
Please spare us the generalities and the campaign slogans. "Better to fight them there than here..." and all the rest just doesn't cut it.

What did you expect, intelligent remarks for the people who don't have the courage to join the military and see things the way they truly are?

Most people close their minds to anything that doesn't agree with their preconceived ideas and would rather ignore facts than change their minds.
