My god is a man, at least that is what I picture. And he is there to help those who ask for it. I ask for help, and forgiveness for wrong doings every night while I lie in bed. And that doesn't change anything in a magical second like a fairy would, but it makes me feel better. And at the very least, it doesn't seem so bad the next day, because I know I have help.

Thats the point isn't it?
That whatever faith someone has, that is their belief. Although I do not believe in any Gods, I am not bothered by those who do - unless they are a 'fanatic'.
And it seems to me that many people on this site, using religion and spirituality use it as a forum, to highlight their ignorance, intolerance and bigotry, and from the answewrs they get, or the questions that they ask, they are not and will never be - willing tolearn about the beliefs of others, or understand the ideals, the thoughts of others. Nor, will they ever grow in life, love or brain!

my definition of divinity is an aspect to the universe that I choose to experience as a sentient entity with a primarily feminine essense. It is not a matter of beliefe, more an ability to suspend disbelief at times... just as when I watch my favorite movies/ read my favorite books, I suspend disbelief and become absorbed into the characters.

it's not about if she's real - it's about expanding consciousness and finding new ways to experience the universe, without giving up my natural skepticism.

TODAY, WE KNOW THAT THE UNIVERSE IS IMMENSE. WE ALSO KNOW THAT GALAXIES WITHIN OUR UNIVERSE GO ON AND ON, AND THERE ARE PROBABLY MILLIONS UPON MILLIONS OF THEM IN EXISTENCE. MOST OF THESE GALAXIES CONTAIN UNCOUNTABLE NUMBERS OF STARS. (WHICH ARE SUNS) SOME OF THESE STARS ARE HUGE. OTHERS ARE TINY. SOME ARE VERY NEW AND SOME ARE EXTREMELY ANCIENT. SOME HAVE BURNED OUT, COLLAPSED UPON THEMSELVES, AND HAVE BECOME "BLACK HOLES IN SPACE, WHILE OTHERS HAVE EXPLODED IN SUPER-NOVA. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, SOME ARE ABOUT THE SAME SIZE UNIFORMITY AND CONSISTENCY OF OUR SUN. THROUGHOUT THE UNIVERSE, THERE ARE PROBABLY TRILLIONS UPON TRILLIONS OF STARS THAT ARE VERY MUCH THE SAME AS OUR SUN. IF ONE BELIEVES IN EXTRA TERRESTRIAL INTELLIGENT LIFE, ONE CANNOT LOOK INTO A CLEAR NIGHT SKY WITHOUT FEELING EXTREMELY HUMBLED AND INSIGNIFICANT. IT IS MY BELIEF THAT WE ARE MOST CERTAINLY, NOT THE ONLY RELIGIOUS AND INTELLIGENT LIFE IN OUR UNIVERSE.

WHAT IF:

ALL INTELLIGENT LIFE IS CREATED IN GOD’S IMAGE NO MATTER WHAT PHYSICAL CONFIGURATION IT HAPPENS TO BE IN.

I do not have a GOD. God has us all. He is not here for me, he is here for everyone, whether you believe or do not believe, he still watches and listens to you. God is everlasting and stronger than the babble of any non-believers, and will still forgive them their trespasses if they ask it of him.

Ironically, as a theist, my God is best conceived as absolute nothingness.
