having problems with a project im trying to do. I need to install xp on a thumb drive and so far I have not had any luck. So if anyone has an answer on how to do this that would be great?

You probably wont have any luck booting XP from the jump drive either, if Microsoft has anything to say about it, and they have done some things to make that difficult/impossible because if it could be done, you could stick that jump drive on any box and go. All is not lost, tho! Get open source instead, and you can do that! www.kubuntu.org and you may need to load either GRUB or LILO onto the jump drive also, which are open source boot loaders.

How big is the thumbdrive? You need a newer pc, since older ones cannot boot of of a USB device.
