i use hair serum. bio silk is the best but any will work. it just tames fly aways and adds shine and silkyness (if thats even a word). i have curly hair and i use it for the au naturel hippie hair look. if you want curl definition use mouse. it tames frizz and makes the curls pop out. i use cheap mouse and it works just as well as expensive mouse so whatever you grab will work. good luck. curly hair sucks sometimes.

There are a few different shampoos and conditioners that I like to use for my hair. Finesse extra conditioning has been a long time favorite and is the best value. Then while my hair is still wet I put Aveda Deep Penetrating Hair Revitalizing Conditioner on it and comb it through with my fingers. This is a regular conditioner, but a modeling school told me many years ago to use it as a leave in conditioner.
I have recently tried Garnier Fructis for curly hair, shampoo and conditioner, and then used the leave in conditioner, as well. Also, IF you must blow dry, use a leave in conditioner of some sort and make sure to use a diffuser on the end of your blow dryer.

Henna works naturally, and stays forever, but I don't think that's the problem.
You need to do some deep conditioning treatments b/c it sound like your hair isn't healthy. I have (naturally) blonde curly hair but I have small hi-lights put in, but I use a very simple defining serum. I like the Aveda Be Curly - Curl Control. Put a little in after your wash your hair. After a week or so you'll begin to see some control starting to take over and your hair will be healthier.

My naturally curly hair gets the best results with Curl Life shampoo & conditioner from Matrix and Nexxus Extra Gel. I find that this combination gives me the most defined curls without the frizz.

I have very dry course hair.......I stopped blow drying a long time ago.......I found that nexus has very good products....or biolage......look for leave in conditioners, and I use an anti frizz spray that works ..........use the leave in conditioner, then mousse, then the anti frizz spray.......also, don't comb your hair, only towel dry...style with your hands......this will control the frizz..........it should look great..........If not, getting your hair dyed at a salon is a good idea, if they use the correct dye.......the dye has conditioners that should make your hair look healthy.....don't use hair dye over the counter......it's definitely not as good !!!!!!
good luck

I use SpecialEffectsFX "curls up" curl reactivator and defrizzant for naturally curly and wavy hair.
Then I use, by the same company, "curl booster" scrunching and curling spray, which kind of tightens the curl.
