Depends on if we have the troops to occupy, otherwise we'd have a long running, open-ended timeframe of bombing. hat's a huge land area and will our bombs penetrate underground bunkers... we would have to kill tons of civilians while Al-Quaeda entrenches itself... we would probably do this (what else could we do? that's a important strategic ally and ceding so much oil could collapse economies... while Iraq oil production is still at a fraction of what they did pre-war). But we can't occupy the nation.

The Saudi air forced would be grounded... we would knock out the airfields right away IF Al-Quaeda had people to pilot them effectively.
Sorry for the typing, I am tired and don't feel like editing.

The only way the Saudi regime would collapse is if it were some overnight coup. The US supervises that stuff very closely. The US would attack them because of oil. The Air Force would have a tough time overpowering Saudi planes but Special Night Operations would destroy most air bases anyway.

We will make sure the Saudi regime does not collapse. We will have troops in Saudi before they collapse to insure a free flow of oil. We have an unwritten deal with Saudi Arabia. We make sure the Saud family stays in control, don't mess with Israel, and keep the oil flowing, while we will ignore the fact that women are treated like second class citizens and there is no Democracy.

The USA will fight Al-Qaida no matter where they go. And yes the US airforce can handle any aircraft from any air force in the world. We have the best training, pilots and aircraft.
That's why Al-Qaida have to fight like gangs and thugs killing women and children and then run from the fight.
Al-Qaida will lose no matter where they run and hide.

I hope so Al-qaida must be stopped.

You vastly over estimate the Saudi air force.

why would non-Saudi be involved in things that supposed to be Saudi or local affairs. Muslims involved in Saudi Arabia because it contains their holy places and the West involved because it contains their holy oil so the Saudi getting squeezed between the two.

I certainly hope so! Why would pilots still be alive to fly for Al-Qaeda if regime had collapsed?
