He said Sutton was running a "public relations campaign" and charged that his purpose has been to "poison the well of public opinion, calling Ramos and Compean corrupt, when there never were any corruption charges, then suggesting they shot an unarmed man in the back, when we only have (the) drug dealer's word he was unarmed and the medical evidence is that he was not shot in the back."

"In the Ramos-Compean case we have lie after lie after lie coming out of Sutton's office," the congressman told WND. "And now we've got a public relations campaign to protect Sutton because he is a protégé of the president and the president doesn't want to see his career destroyed."

Absolutely, with the increased border enforcement, the bad guys, the Mexican drug and people smugglers are feeling the pinch, and arming them self's with military grade weapons and using them.
just last month, officials near Brownsville Texas stopped a tractor/trailer rig that was carrying 18-M16 assault rifles, one with a M-203 grenade launcher attached, several M-4 carbines, 17 handguns, 200 assorted magazine clips, more than 8.000 rounds of ammo, assault vests and other Military equipment.
A short distance away ICE seized 2 complete Improvised Explosive Devices, and materials to make 33 more, 33 primes, 1,280 rounds of ammo, 5 grenades, 9 pipe bombs, 26 grenade triggers, 40 grenade pins, 19 grenade casings, a silencer and cash,
All of this was heading south, destined to the cartels, to be used against us. and this was just the seizures of last month that made news, I'd say the border patrol have got their hands full, as do all border area policemen. it is definitely out of control

Yes. What makes matters worse is the fact that the border patrol agents are not being protected via OUR government and are being persecuted when they DO try to protect our borders. The fact that Mexico is being given the green light to protect THEIR people, but the US government ignores us is very disheartening. I personally am fed up with all of it and I wont be voting for EITHER Democrat OR Republican this next round of elections. I am pretty much a Democrat but I am tired of what the illegals have done to the US and our government putting OTHER nationalities AHEAD of ours.

yes because as was evidenced by our government in the ramos and compean case they will not stand behind our agents in the course of carrying out the laws of our country for they are planning having a voting block formed by them comprised of illegals that they helped to make legal

it will get worse! as the DEA or border patrol close the drug tunnels what do u think drug traffickers will do? USA has a big need for drugs and the drug lords will do a nything to get them in.

I wish there was a better way to stop the violence but how do u stop americans being druggies.

I think they are at a higher risk because they have no protection from our government and the Mexicans at the border are being more violent.

And then we have criminals from within that are prosecuting innocent men. Sutton should be in prison, not Ramos & Compeon!!!

There is always a high risk of being assaulted while protecting the border, and I for one think that our men and women protecting the border should be able to protect themselves without being sent to jail. Its sad when illegal immigrants are allowed to throw rocks at border patrol and shoot at them, but our men and women aren't allowed to even lift a finger against them.

Yes, they are at greater risk. Arizona just passed a bill enabling their governor to send more people to the border, but there seems to be the word 'retreat' in the bill somewhere. Legislators were arguing that to order troops to 'retreat' was offensive.

"How many people are you going to get with a poster that says 'Retreat!'?" one legislator asked.

I haven't found the text yet to see where 'retreat' fits in, but apparently it was passed in the bill.

I'm disgusted with the whole mind set.
