When the war first started, I remember seeing people with bracelets that were to be worn 24 hours a day until all the Iraq War was over and the troops were home. It was a fund raiser for the troops or something. Does anyone remember this? Or does anyone still have one they are wearing?

Most people forgot the war is still going on.

Just like they forgot that no WMD's were found, and there was no evidence that they ever existed.

Just like they forgot that we went to Afghanistan to try to get OBL, and came up empty handed, and now that we have left - Opium production has skyrocketed.

Just like they forgot about Rummy's sunshine estimate of 'six weeks, i doubt six months'

Just like they forgot about the flowers that were never thrown (well, except for the exploding kind.

Just like they forgot that eventually, people get fed up with idiots, and will throw out a do-nothing congress in exchange for one that will actually provide oversight.

I haven't heard of those, but i DO remember the POW bracelets everyone was wearing during the vietnam war. Each one was inscribed with the name of a soldier who was either MIA or a POW. I still have mine.
