If you want someone who'll make a total fool of himself because he's so glad to see you, get a dog.
If you want someone who eats whatever you put in front of him and never say his mother made it better, get a dog.
If you want someone who's always eager to go out any time you ask and anywhere you want to go, get a dog.
If you want someone who can scare away burglars without waving a lethal weapon around, endangering you and all the neighbors, get a dog.
If you want someone who never touches the remote, couldn't care less about Monday Night Football, and watches dramatic movies with you as long as you want, get a dog.
If you want someone who'll be content just to snuggle up and keep you warm in bed, and whom you can kick out of bed if he slobbers and snores, get a dog.
If you want someone who never criticizes anything you do, doesn't care how good or bad you look, acts as though every word you say is worth hearing, never complains, and loves you unconditionally all the time, get a DOG!
On the other hand...
If you want someone who never comes when you call him, totally ignores you when you walk in the room, leaves hair all over the place, walks allover you, prowls around all night and comes home only to eat and sleep all day, and acts as though you are there only to see that HE’s happy...

This is funny...I was thinking the punchline would be "Get a boyfriend or a husband!" LOL!
Dogs are awesome, but cats are awesome too! The difference between cats and dogs is:
Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you (unless you're opening up a can!)
Dogs have owners, cats have staff.
Dogs live to please, cats live to please themselves.
Everyone needs a dog to adore him, and a cat to bring him back to reality.
Dogs believe they are human. Cats believe they are God.
Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.
Cat's motto: No matter what you've done wrong, always try to make it look like the dog did it.
Of all God's creatures there is only one that cannot be made the slave of the leash. That one is the cat.

I agree with the part about dogs but in my lifetime experience that last part doesnt even describe cats... all 4 of my current cats come when I call, they follow me into every room, when I come home they are right there with the dogs greeting me, they dont sleep all day mostly all night with me in my bed and yes they do walk all over me but I like getting a back massage dont you?? lol

Of course it is. Dogs do not have the same feelings we do. They do not have opinions about movies or any of the other things you mentioned, they are dogs, not humans. On the other hand, if you ever want to have an emotional relatioship with someone, get a human. If you ever want to be held at night, get a human. If you ever want to have human babies, get a human. If you ever want to talk to someone and get a response, get a human. I can go on and on, but I think you get the point. Do not confuse what the dog can bring you in relation to what a human can. Humans are ALWAYS preferable because we are of the same species and can communicate better. Unless, of course, other people here consider themselves to be dogs.

oh yeah! im definantly a dog person.... we have 4!!! lol but we do have 2 cats..... dont see them very often though
