Clean the area with antiseptic wash such as Bactine. use an antibiotic cream on the wound and cover it with a sterile bandage, change the bandage every day. If it was a bad boil and the area is still inflamed you might have to get a prescription for antibiotics-yes, those staph infections can be horrible. Don't squeeze it-you could damage the tissue and the infection could occur again.

Never pop a boil. First, it might not be a boil, second...that just opens it up and can cause even worse infection.

Go to a doctor and have them look at it. If it needs to be lanced/aspirated....let the doctor do it.

Keep it clean and covered. By the way....I'd go to the doctor and have them culture it. There is a nasty type of Staph infection going around (MRSA and other types) that can be fatal. I started getting boils about a year ago and got them on a monthly regular basis - come to find out it was that bad staph....luckily it didn't infect the rest of my body...just hurt like hell. But get it checked out if you can.....

Put a sterile dry dressing on it and leave it, in case an infection enters, don't put anything like cotton wool on it as when it's weeping it will hurt and stick to the area

Go to healthquest.peoplesway.com , order Oil of mink and apply it to the broken skin. This stuff is amazing, i have heard of it helping with sores in the mouth of a 94 year old man that needed radiation treatment on his tongue, to 22 year old stretch marks disappearing. Cuts, burns, warts, pimples, moles, heat sensitivity in teeth, you name it, this oil seems to help.
