What a question, God is what you want it to be. God can be your automobile if you want it to be.

The name God refers to the deity held by monotheists to be the supreme reality. God is believed to be the sole creator of the universe. As of 2007, a majority of human beings are classified as adherents of religions that worship a monotheistic God, usually the Abrahamic God of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam.

Theologians have ascribed certain attributes to God, including omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, perfect goodness, divine simplicity, and eternal and necessary existence. He has been described as incorporeal, a personal being, a source of moral obligation, and the greatest conceivable existent. These attributes were supported to varying degrees by the early Christian, Muslim, and Jewish scholars, including St Augustine, Al-Ghazali,and Maimonides, respectively.

All the notable medieval philosophers developed arguments for the existence of God,attempting to wrestle with the contradictions God's attributes seem to imply. The last few hundred years of philosophy have seen sustained attacks on some of the arguments for God's existence, put forth by such philosophers as David Hume, Immanuel Kant, Friedrich Nietzsche and Antony Flew. The theist response has been either to contend, like Alvin Plantinga, that faith is properly basic; or to accept, like Richard Swinburne, the evidentialist challenge.

Ah!- There is the question of Eternity itself!! All of us (human-beings) down through the ages and perhaps even on other planets as well are not perfect and therefore can never really know for certain. This is a matter based on belief or faith. As to "The Creator's" color; it is based on the spirit. The "Soul" has no color.

The question would have been better-asked as "WHAT is God?"

Of course, you are using lower-case "god", so it opens up all sorts of interpretations.
Eric Clapton is a guitar god...so was Jimi Hendrix.
President Bush thinks he's god...but he's really a false idol.
