True is the Spirit of Truth & the Word of God (Holy Bible) & the truth about anything. The opposite of meditating on false doctrines/ beliefs or false accusations or false/ negative ideas about self. Positive uplifting truth is life and negative, belittling lies is death.

Noble is honesty & integrity. A person of honesty and integrity.

Right is righteousness and just. God is righteous and just. There is a way that seems right to mankind but the way is to destruction. There is a one way that leads to life.

Pure, Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Purity is a heart cleansed by the Blood of the Lamb. Faith, Hope & Love is in that heart. And when God sees this child, God sees the righteousness of Christ. Pure = sins washed away. Pure is loving & forgiving others.

Lovelyness is Gods creation. The flowers are lovely, you are lovely, God is lovely, etc. Lovely is tied to love in ones heart or love in Gods creation. Love is growing & blooming.

Admirable is virtuous people who have inner strength and self control, good moral, habits, etc., strong when facing life trials.

Praiseworthy are things to thank God or others about. Praising is thanking for who God Is or who others are or what they have done in your life.

Thinking about Christ...in the beauty of His holiness. That pretty much covers it for me. He meets each and every adjective in Phil. 4:8 both individually and collectively.

Jan...one of my favorite passages. I am not sure its something we can make a list of, but rather something we can refer to when we make a choice about how to approach something or what to do. I think as always, we have to try to love, try to forgive, try to take the high road and the narrow path, not judge others and of course, always love God above all else. I fail miserably, but I will never stop trying.

Paul is telling us to turn from our old wicked selves and to put on these new, better things.

As far as today's society......there's not a whole lot that we can call pure or good.
