Why should anybody hate themselves or anybody else for that matter? And no Atheists, Agnostics, Humanists, Free Thinkers, Christians and everybody else alike doesn't hate themselves. If anybody does hate themselves then it's because they have some psychological issues that need to be dealt with.

I can't really speak for atheist's ... but this question can be asked to each individual regardless of their belief system ... depression and co-dependency are serious problems in our society today ... one just need's to back up and see the bigger picture to understand that

it's a personal choice how we feel about ourselves ... and we are given a daily reprieve ... sometimes a moment to moment reprieve :)

Andy,
This is quite RUDE. Please refrain from comments of this type when referring to others on this site. All People deserve respect. If you hope to be a religious person then you would/should know better than to say such a thing. PLease appologize and I will feel better. By the way, I am a Christian and this is certainly not any way to treat others no matter what "camp" you are from! Have a great day.

No. Well, I'm sure a few atheists aren't too fond of themselves, but atheism doesn't come with self-loathing attached.

There are things about myself I like and things I don't like. None of it has to do with the fact that the concept of a "god" is logically impossible.

Perhaps you need to read about athiests, they do not hate anyone! Although comments like yours, just keep the intolerance, misconceptions, bigotry and racism alive and well in the minds of fanatics!

Nope. I don't even hate you.

Why would you think we would? Can you elaborate?

Does your not believing in Santa, Zeus, Thor mean you like yourself a little less? I don't get it.

I'm not particularly proud of all my actions throughout my life, but I do like who I am.

What are you on about? I don't hate anybody. I just don't believe in god.
