if you do not wanna go then just say you don't wanna and if your true friends will agree with you and you can have your own little party with you and a pal or two
say you dont wanna becuz you want to do sumthin else or just pick the 'wussy' way out and give them a good excuse that is not an obvious way of you trying to sneak away from it
like family crisis- they could easily say a party is a good thing so dont use that
babysitting- its good i think
etc etc
so yeah
good luck!!

Either take the high road and just say you've had a long day and just don't feel like it or feel up to it. Or take the easy road and say you've come out in a rash which is probably nothing but it could be something contagious, so you wouldn't want to risk mingling with others.

I'm teaching my cat to sing.
Fred Flinstone's stalking me!
I'm in a place where I don't know who I am.
I have to walk my turtle.
my dog's teaching me to bark.
my leg itches, so no, tonight won't work out. *scratch, scratch*
Mom's calling me. What's that, Ma? BRB!
My imaginary friend died last week, and his funeral is the day of your party!
I have to think of an excuse, sorry.
I'm migrating south for the winter.
I have to breed my spoons or else the world will run on sporks!
My toaster just gave birth to toast and wants me to name them.
My inner child is too young for activities of such.
No hablo ingles (no speak english)
I'm being abducted by aliens at 6:30.

just say you are unable to attend at this time but thanks for the invite. try not to give false excuses. a lie will only keep you from getting invited to another and ya really don't want to lie to your friends anyway. if they ask why you cannot attend just say the truth. you are not up to a party right now.

You're not feeling well.
Something suddenly came up.
I just don't want to go.
If you go and something bad happens, then you'll say "man, I knew I shouldn't have gone." And that'll be a regret to add to your book of life.

Give yourself a migraine headache by slamming your head really hard on something metal so that way you won't have to lie and you will have a legitament excuse. hahaha.

"I got tickets to X show that night (and then get sick and not see the show)."
"This hot guy just asked me to dinner that night."
