i would like to point out another interesting fact that taylord forgot to mention, one mans monkey is not to be spanked by another man. especially one of the cloth.
of course that monkey is going to throw a fit, he is already one mans biatch and probably didn't like the fact that he was being passed around.
he probably also thought that the priest was michael jackson.

And yes, animals can be possessed.
One of the most freaky thing I read about animals being possessed was in a book by Fr. G. Armoth. He is the leading excorcist in the world.
The story goes that a man had a pet monkey. This monkey was totally awesome! Would do anything the owner asked of it. Fold clothes, get his drink, do menial tasks, do silly dances when asked, a whole litany of things. The man approached Fr. Armoth and said "Hey whatcha think of my little monkey? Pretty cool, heh?" And the priest thought it odd, and agreed to go to the man's house to have a personal look see at this marvel. The monkey started spitting, throwing things at the priest. The priest (who is again, already an excorcist..as not all priests have this duty) immediately began to do the Rite of Excorcism. The monkey in a fit of total rage started after the owner, but was blocked by the priest. During the course of the excorcism the the demon that possessed the monkey was forced to speak. And the demon was asked: "Why are you possesing this poor creature?" And the demon replied that "Satan wants this man's soul and God allowed it and the only time that I would even be able to kill him is if he forgot to say his prayers. It's been four years and he has never failed. I so looked forward to strangling him with his beads". Then the monkey, still possessed; slams himself into a wall kill itself and thus the demon left immediately.
