It seems outlandish to me that anyone could honestly accept all of the dogma necessary to uphold any given god/religion. It just makes no sense at all.
Obviously, theists feel the same way about those who don't accept their particular god ( I think they agree with me about all the other gods).
So, do we have an irresistible force meeting an immovable object?

I hate it when I pull out what I suspect is a very clever little balloon only to have it popped in my face ;)

Mm, interesting. Maybe. I would say Force of Change vs. Immutable Dogma. :)

Sorry to disturb your view of nature, but I think that in physics there is no such thing as an irresistible force nor an immovable object.
May the force be with you, though.

Theism will shrink if the international retains getting extra perfect. Atheism and secularism will shrink if the international retains getting worse, and persons initiate feeling the pick for convenience. those are the traits that have been noted in international locations that do nicely vs international locations that don't.

Since neither side of the Atheist/theist argument can be conclusively proven, the debate strikes me more as a sword fight at 50 paces. Both sides get to posture and parry and thrust with no threat of actual harm, and each side gets to indulge in righteous indignation.

Nope...people convert from atheism to theism and from theism to atheism everyday...something is moving.
No religion has all the answers...no person is impenetrable.
I'm an atheist, former Christian...as of now I think I am right, but never unwilling to listen.

It there is irresistable force, then there is no immovable object. If the force is irresistable, then no object can resist.
The question is, which is the irresistable force?

In Christianity the main thin is to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. That is the main thing. You do not have to accept and understand everything exhaustively to serve God.

hmm.....
speaking for myself, i dont hold any dogma dear to me... i simply believe....
and i honestly dont care if you believe what i believe... none of us know this subject as fact. so i will accept anyone's ideas.
"So, do we have an irresistible force meeting an immovable object?"
sadly yes... which there shouldn't be... like i said, none of us know as fact... why clash?
