"So you're one of those devil worshippers?"
He wasn't accusing me of anything. He just thought that you had to worship the devil if you didn't believe in God.

A young priest once asked me how I could face all the responsibility that not having God laid on me.
It was not a question I was expecting and when I understood him it was quite a shock.
He was saying that his idea of God took away all the responsibility for being a moral person just by having faith and sticking to the rule book. It puts quite a different spin on the questions I see asking atheists why they don't go around killing or raping since they don't believe in God.
The people asking really don't understand that being responsible can be individual because they have given that responsibility to their religion. Their morality is what they are told it is.
Freedom is responsibility and vice versa. If you are not responsible for what you do you are not free.

One of the most mind boggling questions that I have had some Christians ask me after they find out that I'm Asatru and honor the Norse Gods is...
"How can you not believe in a God?"
Yeah.... I do, I'm a polytheist and I just got through explaining all that.
Also, I've had people asking me:
"Why do you worship a comic book character?"
"Why do you worship stones, trees, and idols?"
"Don't you know you are going to Hell?"
I've had Christians assume that I'm a : Satanist, a Wiccan, and most perplexing of all a Muslim. (Why, I have no clue, I've always made it clear that I'm an Asatruar.)

I'm Pagan, but after I told the Jehovah's Witness at my door in Philly that the book of revelations was written many years after the bible, and that the place he first claimed it was found and carbon dated to exactly 33AD was underwater, he asked me if I knew that the book of revelation was found underwater on copper plates that carbon dated to exactly 33AD.
(I acknowledge some people here don't understand why this is funny. #1. Carbon Dating doesn't give exact dates. #2. Copper plates underwater would be unreadable now. #3. You can't carbon date copper, any ways...to start.) I called him a liar and slammed my door on his face.

the purpose of existence is diverse for various human beings. on condition that all of us are alive, and all of us will die, the purpose of existence is defined by using the strategies we make on how we spend the time in between. there is easily not a single purpose that fits all. and that's accurately.

I would have to say it was " Whats the point of life?, why don't you just kill yourself if you don't think there is a purpose to life"? Which I never even stated that I didn't think life has purpose or meaning....Its just typical Stereotypical Crap.

WHY? that is the most amazing question. it is only amazing because people who choose to have faith, and people who choose not to have faith share that same question their entire life.
