Whatever happened to "Thal shalt not kill"? It' not even like there was a good reason for the killing, just pointless murder. I'm sure you will say that god wanted him to do this to "prove his love for him", but wasn't that an extremely cruel and sadistic way of satisfying his own ego?

So, Top Contributor doesn't mean "smart". Well, DO SHUT UP!
(Do you like that? No? Then don't do it to others, brainless sheep.)

I see ,you have a misunderstanding of it. Its not that the rule Thou shall not kill. Means God does not want people to kill people ,because they want to.Or because they don't like someone. The animals were a sacrifice, to God. To show ones thanks for God granting them the food to live on. Animals are the food for man. OK. And that's why They had sacrifices. because God allows them to eat the meat from them and use their skin for clothing. Or what have you. You need to understand that time period, to understand why. So don't get down on animal sacrifices, because you feel or think it was wrong. You need to understand, as most of the people on here as well. It seems everyone on here or in this religious Q&A misunderstand why God does what he does.. So they question it. they all seem to get the wrong idea, or misunderstand the meaning.
