so I get guys flirting with me at work and cracking onto me when I go out. If it were you, how would you want me to turn you down? I need a way to let people know I'm not interested without being rude, especially at work.
Also at what point would it stop being presumptuous to say I'm gay if a guy starts talking to me and I think he's chatting me up?

Best way to handle it is to tell them that it's too bad you're not into men, as they're funny/quite a catch/etc.

That way, they'll leave you alone AND have a boosted ego.

...until they get the thought into their heads that you'd be up for a threesome with them.

They shouldn't be flirting at work! I'm deathly afraid of sexual harrassment suits, where the heck do you work where this is encouraged and/or allowed?

I'd like to be turned down with a "No thanks." If I'm just flirting, quit smiling and don't return anything that may seem like an invitation to my flirting. Talk only about subjects that have nothing to do with relationships.

unless light flirting disgusts you leave it alone and allow your natural disinterest to send the message

if flirting persists - "sorry not interested"

more aggressive
in the work place - "on what floor is human resources?"
at this point in a social setting you can throw presumption and tact out the window.

You should just say that you're flattered, but you're already in a relationship (even if you're not, it's just the easiest way to let them down nicely). No further explanation should be necessary.

Just say that you're flattered but think of that person as a friend only. Simple.

hey just enjoy it! attention is attention, who cares if you're not attracted to them. if they take it further and ask you out, just tell them you have a girl friend. make sure they know you said Girl friend.

take all the attention you can get, i mean hey, if you're out and some random guy wants to buy you drinks, take them! lol!

first of all don't tell them you're gay, then they'll never leave you alone, guys love hot lesbians, just let it be known that "you're taken"
