Marriage became traditionally a non secular ceremony, a bond between a guy and lady lower than the "eyes of god". It became truly usually accomplished for merging 2 kingdoms or households for wealth, land and sources efficient factors, etc. As could be accomplished in a theocracy the position the church is the regulation, the marriage could be legal as right this moment's legal marriage. So, a wedding ceremony technically can't ensue for one which would not count number on a god. A legal marriage, or the more suitable positive time period legal union, is all about the regulation, and has no longer something to do with faith. both way it truly is not one of the authorities's organization and the legal marriage could no longer exist. contained in the u . s . authorities can don't have any impression over faith, era. hence in case your church is keen to marry 2 adult males, or 2 women individuals, or 3, or a guy and his goat, etc., the regulation has no administration over it. If a pair elects to dedicate to at least one yet another it truly is effective. besides the undeniable fact that it easily should not be a legal binding settlement. and could no longer require a license. you want tax breaks? comprise. You can also be married by a minister in a Christian ceremony at every chapel in Las Vegas, and you will also be legally married - so that should not prove to be a problem.

Ye do err, not knowing scripture, nor the power of God, For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven. Matthew 22:29-30

It is forbidden that we take oaths of any kind. Matthew 5:33-37. If you look more closely at Matthew 5:27-32, concerning adultery, Jesus does not call adultery having sex with a married woman, he says "whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her"...

In Matthew 5:31-32 Jesus is speaking of writing of divorcement, if you are married you can not commit fornication according to the laws of men, a married person can only commit adultery. Yet Jesus says: "saving for the cause of fornication, it therefore must be assumed that Adultery and fonication do not means the same in the eyes of God as they do in men's eyes.

It is the act of "lusting" , wanting to posses that which belongs to another, that is sinful,

and the act of taking or making oaths that is evil, as in a oath of marriage. Once an oath has been made it can not be broken, it can only be fulfilled.

Yes it is legal. The couple's church does not decide the legality of a marriage, the state does.

In the Catholic Church, they would be considered legally married but not sacramentally. Meaning, if they want to receive the sacrament of marriage, they have to go have their marriage "blessed" in a Catholic Church. This is called convalidation.

Yes. Many people do not have a church they attend. Many people call themselves Christians even though they never pray, go to the church or read the Bible.

it doesnt matter what their particular church feels, it is how God see's it. In God's eyes if two people make a pact or agreement that they are married, then they are married - thats it. Governments require something a bit mor formal.
