Can you tell me what your schedule (feeding and napping) is like for your 1yr old ??

What do you think it should look like if I want him to be up at about 8am (not too early)? (is a very good night sleeper).

My son seems to be trying to drop a nap, but I can't seem to keep him up long enough in the morning, so that he naps later, to have less time between nap and bedtime (to avoid too early of a bedtime)

I don't know if this makes sense to you as you read it, but I'm just confused on how to ease the transition without having him go to bed/wake too early (I work until 12am everynight and am hoping his schedule can be adjusted a bit-- I know I know, may be wishful thinking right ?)

Thanks for input you might share !

Actually, I completely understand what you are saying. I have a 10 month old, but here is what his day usually looks like.

7-7:30 am wake-up
8 breakfast
9:30 nap (if he takes two)
12 lunch
1ish nap (depends on whether or not he has a morning as to how early he goes down after lunch)
3-3:30 snack w/cup of milk
6:30 supper
7:15-7:30 bath
8pm bedtime

My son has always been a good sleeper at night, but naps are horrible. He fights really hard no matter how tired he is at the time. I am at the point where I am not really sure if he is going to take two or one. If he doesn't take the morning nap, he has to take his afternoon nap too early and then he is cranky before bedtime as well. I understand exactly what you are going through; timing is everything with naps it seems! Let me know if you figure it out!! :) Good luck!
