ceremony starts at 3pm with reception and dinner to follow immediately after -all taking place in same venue. non-religious......not a strictly AM or PM wedding....no bridesmaids etc...though bride will be appropiately princess-like in attire, so as sister of the groom what is good to wear?

Well you will be in pictures with your brother and his new wife, so you want to be appropirately dressed. Find a nice dress, not too busy, but eligant, and smile. No cotton/nit/t-shirt material jumper. You need a nice dress. Check out the clearance racks, you want to get something nice, but make sure you like it , because these photos will be around forever. Maybe ask the bride to go shopping with you, it will make her feel special and give you time together to bond. You may even end up helping her with things she needs to decide on. You do not want to be under or over dressed. Make you brother proud. Dress nice.

Try to go by the color scheme of the wedding if you want. Since you aren't part of the wedding but still related to the groom, a dress would be most appropriate. The little black dress is good for any occasion. Just make sure you do your hair and make up.. and accessorize!

Have a dark coloured dress and just below the knee leagth. Have It strapless or speggitt straps. Nothing too fancy because you dont want to take the eyes off the bride but somthing that you would wear to a fancy outing. Dress it up with some sprakley earings and necklace.

Something nice and but not too formal should do it, except white or the wedding party colors. :)
I would wear a simple gown myself, not to flashy or bright, but I would also suggest to stay away from all black (funeral like).
I like the idea of the lady above that said a dress to around the knees with spaghetti straps :)

Sounds pretty casual. I say wear a dress that's in between casual and dressy. Something knee length and not white. Depending on the time of year, you could even go with a sun dress.

Anything but white. It's her day. You're just a family member so don't try to outshine the bride and your brother will love you even more! Get a nice cocktail/short dress, not overly sexy and be sweet as can be.

I would wear a 3-quarter bridesmaid dress then that isn't to obvious that it's a brides maid dress....try chiffon so you look a little more dressed up than the other quest and you're important.....

Wearing a knee length dress and heals is very appropriate. You can wear any style or color as long as it isn't too revealing, or white.

who cares what you wear... nobody is going to really notice you... They will be noticing the bride and groom.
