The GENERAL ideas of Christianity are fine...their also foreshadowed by Plato.
Have you ever read the Old Testament? I haven't read the WHOLE thing but rather large sections. Plus, you'll find that many, many theologians and philosophers with years of Biblical study who've read the Bible several times, find many faults with a monodeity. According to almost any philosophy, there are always at least two sides to everything. Therefore 'Satan' would have to be the equal of God, and that's not written as such. The thought of a single, masculine creator deity is insulting. You have no idea how offensive that is.
I believe Jesus & Mary Magdalene were very close-each represented certain aspects. The only problem I have with Christianity is it's claim that the Bible is w/o error, when it has many.. Some books that point them out: 'The Jesus Mysteries', 'Misquoting Jesus'. Both are written by well-educated theologians but the second's author focuses on The New Testament and spent several years at very conservative schools. He even learned Greek and Hebrew in order to understand/read the books of the Bible better. There are also several websites that point out the errors/contradictions in the NT.(ffrrf.org, americanatheist.com, etc...)
To get the real teachings, there's more to it that's not known or taught in todays church.

How is the fact that millions of animals every day are torn apart and eaten by predators, suffering unimaginable agony in the process, a result of "man's poor decision making??"
And what kind of half-arsed 'creation' is humanity if it continues to make these poor decisions? Seems to me that reflects poorly on your so-called 'creator' more than anything else.
By the way, Bible critics don't jump to their conclusions; they are the result of serious scholarship, something that is very rare among believers who swallow the most outrageous claims whole without making the slightest effort to understand why.
Religious logic - the ultimate oxyMORON!

Yes...believe it or not, as an atheists, I know more about Christianity than most Christians. I used to be a Christian and studied the Bible quite a lot...that is how I ended up an atheist. I can still whoop the average Christian in a Bible quiz though.

Your presumptions are all Christian, and too numerous to go into here, but one of them is that atheists haven't thought through Christian theology/philosophy. The same encouragement could be made about you.
By the way, exactly what free will is involved in bad things such as an earthquake, tsunami, hurricane, or tornado?

Proverbs 26:2
"As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying,
so the curse causeless shall not come."
A curse, without a cause, does not happen. Your enemy does not have the right to oppress you just because he's out there. Somebody has to open the door and invite him in. He didn't have access to this planet until Eve invited him in, and Adam agreed. In your life, the evil one does not have the right to oppress you; he only takes that right because you give it to him, many times through ignorance or lack of knowledge.

Nice points. Why not give up the facade your keeping for whatever reason. Repent and get right with the Lord. Theres something holding you back dont let it be your pride. Someday this all will be gone. I know people hate this saying but oh so true. What good is it if a man inherits the whole world but yet he loses his soul. Loose paraphrase. Come and join the family of God He wants you. Amen and Peace out.............

Now THAT is what I call a logical, unbiased thought process. Not only that, but you were able to efficiently contemplate the possibilities of life outside of the physical limitations of space-time. Well done.
